Delete Your D-Card Account
Effective date: 2026-08-18 Last updated: 2026-08-18 This page explains how to request deletion of your D-Card account operated by D-Card. You can read these instructions without signing in. Under the current product design, deletion is initiated in the mobile app, then reviewed by an Admin. Canonical URL: https://d-card.io/account-deletion
1. Delete
from the Mobile App Use the following path in the D-Card mobile application: 1. Open Settings 2. Open Privacy & Security 3. Tap Delete Account 4. Follow the on-screen prompts (including any deletion questionnaire) and submit your request After submission, your request is stored with status PENDING until an Admin reviews it. You may receive transactional email about the request when mail delivery is configured.
2. Web Instructions
(Read-Only Path) On the web, visit `/account-deletion` (this page) for instructions. The public website is intended to help App Store / Play Store reviewers and users understand the process. Initiating an end-user account deletion is performed in the mobile app. The web page does not claim a separate self-serve hard-delete console unless that capability is later shipped and this page is updated. If you cannot access the app, contact support@d-card.io for assistance verifying ownership of the account. Support-mediated help does not bypass security checks.
3. What Happens After You Request Deletion
Current verified workflow: 1. Request — you submit Delete Account in the app. 2. PENDING — Admin reviews the request. 3. APPROVED — the user account is soft-deleted (marked deleted / deactivated for sign-in) and associated sessions, API keys, and push device tokens are revoked so the account cannot continue authenticated use or receive push on those tokens. 4. Notice — an account-deleted email may be sent when Brevo (or another configured mail provider) is enabled for that environment. This is not marketed as an instantaneous full hard wipe of every database row. Cards, business profile content, media, scanned relationships, support tickets, feedback, referrals, and similar records may be retained, anonymized later, or handled under a future purge policy after legal and product decisions. See our internal deletion matrix for operations; public claims stay aligned with the soft-delete + session/token revocation behavior above.
4. Data We May Retain
We may retain certain information where necessary for:
- Security, fraud prevention, and abuse investigation
- Legal obligations, disputes, and regulatory requests
- Backup media until backup retention rotates
- Support and audit records tied to the deletion request itself Retention periods are configuration and legal decisions.
We do not invent fixed day counts on this page until approved. See the Privacy Policy for broader retention language.
5. Processing Timeline
We do not promise a specific number of hours or days for Admin approval on this page. Requests are processed in the ordinary course of Admin operations. If you need status help, contact support@d-card.io and include the email associated with the account (do not send passwords).
6. Pending Requests While
a request is PENDING, follow in-app messaging for any cancel/withdraw capability if the product exposes one. If you regain access and believe a request was submitted in error, contact support@d-card.io promptly. Once APPROVED and soft-delete has run, restoration is not guaranteed and may be impossible.
